Company Background

This family business was established by Henry and Elizabeth McGinley in 1993 to provide engineering and structural steel to the building and agricultural sectors in County Donegal. It is now one of the leading suppliers of structural steel and roofing systems in the North West of Ireland.

Sales grew steadily in the early years when the business began to secure larger contracts within the industrial and commercial construction sectors. As a result the business was incorporated on 1st May 1999 under the title 'Henry McGinley & Sons Ltd'.

Our business philosophy combines a strong customer focus, quality workmanship, excellent steel erecting experience and a flexible approach to satisfying the changing needs of our clients. This business culture enables us to develop long-term relationships with key clients.

Investment In Future Growth

A profit reinvestment plan was introduced a number of years ago to ensure continuous improvement and development of our plant and facilities.

Significant investment has been made in developing an advanced IT infrastructure. We realise that open and accessible communication channels form a key element of our customer service. Electronic communication, for example, between clients and the production department is now an integral part of our daily routine.

We are dedicated to continuous staff development and review our staff training needs on an annual basis. In September 2001 we introduced an apprenticeship-welding programme to ensure a constant supply of skilled welders.

Key Projects include Structural Steelwork for a wide range of industrial uses including retail units, schools, supermarkets, refurbishment work, bridges and a multi-storey car park.

The company is now working regularly with leading construction companies and property developers across the country.
